Grandparent Week

We are so fortunate that our parents are willing and able to stay with our guys for a week while we take our youth group on a summer mission trip.  This year our trip was to Detroit, which is not too far away but we were still "away" all week.  Our parents make a great team - and are not willing to do these acts of service without each other anymore.  The boys have a fabulous time - and we love hearing about their experiences with Grandpa, Boppa and Grandma long after they have all headed home to Wisconsin.

 Casey started asking if we could go bowling about a week before our trip and it was never the right time.  The grandparents were kind enough to take them and they loved it!

 The library had a stuffed annimal sleepover and the boys left one of their animals to sleep at the library.  When they went back to get them, they discovered the animals playing cards and eating pizza - they had not slept at all!  My mom said it was really cute.

Here's our crew from our week - we had 9 kids and 3 adults.  We also got to work with an old friend, Allen (yellow shirt on the left) who was part of our last youth group and is now a college grad working as an intern with Motown Mission this summer.   We had a really great trip and are proud of these kids!
