We had a great time watching the Packers win the Super Bowl on Sunday! The last time the Packers won the Super Bowl it was January 26, 1997 and it was our 6 month wedding anniversary. We had a room full of friends and had a great time. After they won we took the huge Packer flag off the wall, tied it to our mop and piled into somebody's car and drove around town with all the other crazies -honking horns, flying this huge flag out the window while it was 12 degrees. I remember parking and running through bars, high fiving everyone, probably injuring people with the mop, and then driving to the next bar to do the same. Such an awesome time!! So, 14 years later, our life is a little different. We took in the first half at church with our Youth Group and some parents. It was really fun - we had almost all of them cheering for the Packers and everyone brought great snacks. We broke it up at half time and everyone headed home. We got the kids to bed and watched the rest of the game in the basement, Jeff on the treadmill and me on my lap top. Things got a little close there in the 3rd quarter - Jeff only almost fell off once. The end was a real nail biter but that makes it fun. After the game we watched the highlights and interviews and went to bed. Much earlier than we did the last time I am sure.
Way to go Packers!!
