Great crew of families this year!
We are home from a great week at camp! The boys had a wonderful time playing with their friends, took full advantage of the beach time and slept really well every night. Camp breakfast starts at 8, which is earlier than this crew has been up and out in a long time. But we did alright. We all enjoyed the change in scenery and family time, as well as time with other clergy families who have become dear friends. Some pictures of the week -
Casey went right along with this pinata game, and was totally stunned and thrilled when the candy came out.

My favorite picture of the week - we get all the kids ready for bed then let them watch a movie with the babysitters while the adults sit around the camp fire - so they are ready for bed but with the crocs for the walk and the layers for the chilly air - and Sam's face.
Sam was doing all the bible school songs at the park for any interested passersby :)

This little crew of 3 and 4 year old boys is a real hoot. They are good pals and we all hope it will stay that way. They all like Buzz Lightyear, Lightning McQueen and and Thomas the train. And they are all the son of a preacherman (or woman) (or both). They don't even know that about each other (or themselves really) yet, but the whole point of this annual gathering and of being intentional about building this community of friends is that they won't feel like the only one in the "pastor's kid" boat, and will have friends that get the unique aspects of their life. It's already been really good for the adults, and we can only hope it will be good for them too. Here's hoping...
