Staying true to tradition, the boys slept in on Christmas Day. Sam had gone to bed seeming pretty sick the night before, but woke up feeling better. The boys ran into the living room to find the items that had topped their list unwrapped waiting for them under the tree, Much excitement! Bey Blades and Big Boots rule the day. There were other things to unwrap from family and friends and the boys had so much fun getting through it all. Casey got to give out the gifts he purchesed at the school Santa Shop - I got a very cute ring, Sam got some slimy goo and Jeff is the proud owner of a #1 Dad money clip. It's so sweet how excited he gets to surprise us. After we were done, we realized we had not even tried but had a battery free Christmas! It was a fabulous day of imagination with just a bit of fighting :)
Later in the day we all went over to church to check in on the crew putting on a first ever Christmas Dinner for whoever wanted to come. It was wonderful - the food was hot and plentiful and so so good. There was hospitality, friendship and fellowship and just a great spirit among the guests and our own people who were serving. We felt so proud of our little church!
