Grandpa came to visit for a few days and we packed the time with all kinds of fun! We watched tball games and went geo caching and went to the stock car races. We got a new playscape in the yard from some friends and played on that A LOT! We did school drop offs and pick ups, got ice cream, worked in the yard, took a little road trip to the Irish Hills, played board games and read books. Grandpa thinks our guest room mattress is the reason he sleeps really well when he is here but I don't think that's it.
The boys love having Grandpa here - they wake up each morning asking if he is still here. Yesterday, they were bummed when I said he had already headed out when they woke up. Thanks for coming to visit Grandpa!
Sam had an eventful few days: The first night Grandpa was here Sam and I went to Urgent Care after he fell on the bleachers at the tball game, puncturing his skin right next to, and sort of under his nipple. The doctor said 2 stitches would scar more than the wound itself, so she cleaned it out and used bandages to keep it together. Friday, his tummy was all off, in every way, ahem, so that was fun. Then the weekend was fine. Monday night he threw up during dinner from having too much food in his mouth. Tuesday morning Sam came out of his room announcing there was puke all over his bed. No one heard this incident and it wasn't a lot - although he did manage to get it on his pillow, blanket, sheet, pajamas and hair. We kept him home from school in case he had the flu but no other symptoms came and he has been fine since. Never a dull moment.

The picture of the guys sleeping reveals why grandpa should not be allowed to do child care after the sun sets.
