Christmas Shows

Play rehearsal
The boys got to be on stage twice last week.  At our church's Longest Night service, the boys got to be on stage in their pajamas as kids in a household in one of the scenes.  They were just supposed to play with cars.  Which is what Casey did.  Sam walked all over, waved at people in the audience and held up trucks for the audience to see.  They both had fun and were happy to be part of the show.

On Christmas Eve they got to be shepherds in the kids pageant in the early service.  There was some mix up with the shepherds canes - and Casey was under the impression that Sam had the cane he was supposed to have.  They did their part of walking up to the front and taking a look at the baby, but as soon as they sat down in their spots, Casey started getting into it with Sam about the canes again.  I had to sneak up to the front to tell him to knock it off.  It would have probably been noticebale to the entire congregation if they had not been distracted by the angel Lily.  She really wanted all of the hay out of the manger and kept grabbing it and throwing it.  Even if Mary and Joseph or other angels put it back she threw it again.  At one point she walked all the way across the group just to shove her brother - then she bumped Sam and his cane flew up and took another angels halo right off.  She then went back and grabbed the baby Jesus doll and flung it around before trying to climb into the manger herself.  It was hilarious!
