This is how Casey introduced our college friends Josh and Ben to everyone at church on Sunday morning. Josh and Ben were 2 of Jeff's and my closest friends in college in Wisconsin - we did everything together and had many adventures! So, with Jeff's 40th birthday approaching, I decided that the best gift to give him was time to reconnect with these guys. They were on board from my first phone call back in the spring. Josh flew in from Oregon and Ben from Minnestoa and we surprised Jeff by bringing them to a poetry reading he was doing. He was so surprised!! The rest of the weekend was a ton of fun - so much laughter and story telling. There was much watching of old videos, and discussions of old girlfriends and roommates. Late Friday night I came back down to the basement to find the 3 of them crying they were laughing so hard. Saturday, Jeff had some work to do so Casey and I introduced Josh and Ben to geo caching and later, the 3 guys went to watch the division champ Tigers. Sunday they came to church and after lunch at our favorite diner they were off - back home to their families. It was just awesome to reconnect with great friends - and they were really great with our kids - took time to talk to them and play with them. Sam and Casey were so bummed when they went home. What a fun reunion - hopefully it won't be 8 years before we see them again!!
