It is now in its 12th spot in the 12 spot frame making a lovely retrospective of Casey's first year (that my friends can tease me about). We will have to quit with this now if only because doing it too long just sets us up to have to do it for any future children as well (this is NOT an announcement) and for them it will be hard enough to do the 12, so we hear from our middle and youngest child friends.
We had our 1 year check up yesterday and here are the numbers - 24 1/2 pounds and 30 1/2 inches tall putting him in the 75th percentile on both. His head is still off the charts but the line is finally curving the right way. Casey is on target for all his milestones, except for "table food" which we already knew, and no one is worried about. For the last week we have had some pretty rough middle-of-the-nights involving a lot of crying and up and down up and down and tag teaming, etc. We end up giving him a bottle and then it takes forever to resettle. So I was telling our doctor that Casey had been staying up later and then having these tough times in the night. She asked what food we were adding to his routine given the later bedtime - um, huh? I can't believe we never thought of it. We really are not fit for this! So last night, we doubled his dinner - no protest. Then 2 hours later, added a meal - no protest. Then, surprisingly enough, he slept through the night. Man we are slow. Perhaps a fluke, hopefully a new trend, only time will tell.

i'm a little late here, but I wanted to wish Casey a Happy Birthday!
(speaking of "huh," a friend told me that i'm supposed to have addie off the bottle completely and on sippy cups by 15 months. uh oh!)
do you all have a 12 picture picture frame, or are you talking about albums? i love casey's shoes btw, so fly!
