Jeff was invited to do some poetry at a conference his seminary was having. Once we realized they were planning to put him up at a hotel with a pool, we decided to make it a family outing. It was really fun! Our big adventure was the Shedd Aquarium - the boys enjoyed the fish, the "dolphinants" as Casey calls them and especially the play area with the penguin stuff and a very life like submarine where they could push buttons and spin dials. My camera did not serve me too well while in there. We swam in the pool and had dinner with our pals the McGels. And it was our first truly budgeted trip - estimated what we would spend on gas, meals, the Aquarium. Brought a little envelope of cash and we came home with $14!
