After the Christmas hoopla, we headed out to the Great Wolf Lodge. Each time we go, the boys are at new levels of independence. This year they were able to be on their own so much, I read part of a book! We all enjoyed the pools and waters slides but the boys didn't have to wait for their parents to get up and down the impossible climbing to go down the slides 100 times.
Last time we were there the boys became aware of Magi Quest, which is a fun scavenger hunt type game around the hotel. You purchase a wand and then as you point it at the right things in the right order, you progress through the game. We didn't let the boys do it last year because we had not budgeted for it, and its not cheap. So we encouraged them to save their money and try it next time. And they did! They got their wands and got started as soon as we got there and they had so much fun with it. Overall we had a nice trip and avoided some terrible weather at home.
