Down South

Shortly after we returned from Atlanta, MI, which the boys refer to as "up norith", Casey asked me why we always go "up norith" and never go "up south". 
Lucky for him there were plans in the works to spend some time in the Atlanta "up south" for the occassion of my cousin's wedding. We drove all 12 hours in one day to get there.  The boys do so well in the car, its truly a gift.  On Friday we got to the Atlanta Zoo and Atlanta Children's Museum and Jeff and Casey saw a Braves game.  Saturday we saw the Martin Luther King sites and went to the wedding.  We broke up the drive home, getting to Lexington, KY Sunday night and home on Monday.
We really enjoyed Atlanta.  They have a great zoo - they had panda bears and a new orangutan baby (so cute!!)  The Children's Museum was awesome - so many hands on activities in one huge space - the boys had a ball in there.  The house my parents rented for us to stay in all together turned out to be about 2 blocks from Turner Field, so Jeff and Casey walked on over to the game Friday night - got to see the Braves win and some fireworks too.  The wedding was lovely - very small, outdoors at a rented home on the river with a talent show at the end.
The boys still think "up north" and "down south" are the terms used for the specific houses we stay in.  I love how Sam will say while we are out somewhere, "When are we going back to down south?" meaning the house we are staying in.  It doesn't help that both places are called Atlanta :)
