| All the kindergarteners |
Casey was in his first school concert the other night and it was really fun. The concert was in the high school auditorium and Casey was SOOOO excited to be up on the stage and on the risers - even the top row of the risers. He had been singing a little ditty about snow pants for a few weeks so we had a sneak preview. He looked great in his black dress shoes, black pants, dress shirt and sweater. Even though we tucked his shirt in over and over, by the time he was walking onto the stage with his group he was totally untucked and had his hands in his pockets. He looked great though! He was confident and participated fully in each song. He even did the dance moves. He had a great time.

Jeff and I both had the same thought while we watched him up there - this feels like the first time that he has a world outside of us. The places he has gone to for very part time child care or preschool two mornings a week were so transparent - lots of details coming back to us about how he spent his time. Even though we weren't there, we were part of it because we could talk about it. Kindergarten isn't like that. We only know what he tells us - a very random assortment of bits and pieces of his experiences. It isn't a good or a bad thing, just a thing I guess. And just the beginning I am sure. He is growing up! We couldn't be more proud.
