The Countdown to School: Potty Training

Lack of diaper means baggy shorts!

Well, it appears to be for real!  Sam has now been diaper free for 3 weeks.  And, he has had no accidents through Vacation Bible School week, a road trip to Wisconsin and a week at camp.  Pretty awesome!!  And given his timing and my camera breaking, he has avoided all embarrassing photo opps.  It's really incredible.  We did 3 sticker charts and he flew through them earning a Toy Story basketball, a Dora soccer ball and a pink soccer ball.  It went so fast that we offered to do another chart, but he wasn't interested.  "No fank you" he said. 
He tells everyone we see that he is wearing underwear and is really good at letting us know it's time.  This week we work on him doing everything in the bathroom himself to be really ready for school.  We are really proud of him!!  And now we know for sure that none of this stuff has anything to do with us or our parenting - kids are who they are!
