Happy Easter

We had a lovely Easter and hope you did too!  Casey has been gifted a hand me down suit that he has yet to wear.  We talked about it leading up to Easter and thought he might do it.  But he didn't.  Sam, on the other hand, started asking what suit he would wear.  I dug through the closet and found a hand me down red sport coat given to us when Casey was born, but not yet worn by either kiddo, by our friend Julie.  Partly because Sam was making such a big deal about his "suit" and partly because I laid it on pretty thick, Casey compromised and put on the suspenders.  Add in the suspenders Sam claimed from a recent hand me down bag, a few dress shirts and khaki pants and here you go...

 

 The boys were a hit all morning at church; Sam looking like he was ready to join the circus and Casey like he was becoming Amish.  Both worthy paths in life.

The Easter Bunny was kind enough to come through our place while we were at church instead of during the night, so we didn't have to get up before dawn.  After church Jeff took the boys to give out cookies to folks working on the main drag near the church.  While they were out "spreading the love of God" as Casey says, the Easter Bunny did leave some eggs to be found around the yard.  The boys searched and found candy filled eggs and a few toys, then they got to head over to the neighbors for another egg hunt.  

  

We were all ready for quiet time by then.  Sam went to sleep and Casey wanted to play a video game.

After quiet time we had a nice dinner and headed out to deliver the rest of the cookies before settling in for some Phineas and Ferb.  A great day.
