Green Beans in Progress

Before spring break, Casey came home with this little cup of dirt.  Jeff picked him up that day and said the teachers told the parents that they used green bean seeds because they are most likely to actually grow in this little cup.  Casey was excited but I was feeling set up. To fail.  A few days later I remembered to water it and sort of wondered why I was bothering - obviously nothing was happening.  But now we have a green bean plant - this thing has really taken off!  The boys come running out to check it in the morning and I can only hope eventually one lone green bean will result and Casey can eat it for dinner.
