The Vocab and Other Developments

Lately, our post bath routine involves running laps around the house with their hoodie towels on - its pretty funny.

Both of our boys are making big strides in the vocabulary department.
With Sam, we are in deliberations on his official first word. The only words that are totally clear are "mama" and "daddy". "Baby", "Cookie", and "cheese" are close behind. He has definite words for kitty, doggy, ball, book, and the cutest is how he says Casey. Its like "che-chi" and its quite sweet.
Casey is more conversational than ever. He asks questions and seems to really get most of what we are saying. Sometimes I am afraid I used too big a word or said something he would not be able to grasp, but he really seems to be following me. He is more social with other people too and he ends most encounters with "And after quiet time, I will come over to your house" The phrase "after quiet time" means "later" we think and he uses it all the time.
In other developments, we have enrolled Casey in a preschool program that starts after Labor Day. We are excited - it feels like we found a great program. Its just 2 mornings a week but it will be a lot of fun for him. This means we are entering the realm of potty training in a very real way ... wish us luck!!
