We tried another Cider Mill this weekend. This one had a sweet pumpkin patch as well. It was a beautiful day and there were lots of activities for kids. We had a great time! We get to go again this week to another one with Casey's day care - field trip! Some highlights from this weekend ...

Jeff and I noticed the "train" ride right away - it's a tractor dressed up like a train pulling some wagons - but hoped Casey might not see it so we could do some other things for a bit. But no, he saw it. FLIPPED OUT over it. Got mad when we suggested another activity. Anyway, eventually we got on the "train" and he loved it. He was not happy when it was over but he moved on quicker then we thought he would.

Sam was pretty laid back on the outing. He really loves to watch Casey.

Casey was pretty excited about these chickens. He talked to them about a variety of things including the "train" ride we had just been on. He asked them if they liked trains too, and then made train noises for their entertainment. Then he fed them his donut. This was likely against the rules, but remains a highlight of his experience still tonight. He talked tonight at dinner about the train and the bounce house and "the chickens ... eatin my donut".

Picking out our pumpkin. "Its too heavy" is Casey's phrase for "I can't do it by myself". Which is funny when the thing he cannot do is unrelated to weight. But this time he was using the phrase correctly.
