Baby and I are both healthy, although I think we are both getting a little uncomfortable. He, being so big with so little room and me carrying around the space he is trying to fit into. It shouldn't be too much longer now ... are you listening Hilary? (see previous post)

For some reason Casey is willing to wear his hat backwards more than forwards.
In another use of the title phrase we were quite moved to have members of my women's small group spend time on our flower beds today. They were looking to help us out and this was an obvious need. There is more to be done but they made a great start today. I love putzing in the garden and that makes this a favorite time of year. But not being able to bend over makes it tough and we are very grateul for the help.
Casey continues to venture toward his 2nd Birthday with all the advertised developments. He is finding new lung capacity, mastered "no" and just in time for a sibling has picked up "mine". He is still very sweet when he feels like it. We have been using one of our red chairs in the living room for time out. We have also tried to be clear that this is not necessarily punishment but just what its called, a time out. Just a chance to sit still and think things over a minute. Some days we spend a lot of time on the red chair. Other times, a few days go by without visiting it at all. Yesterday and today, in monments of being upset by our answer to something, he says "chair" and waits to be escorted to the red chair. This is bizarre. He doesn't seem to think he is in trouble, he just needs a minute to regroup. He self-imposes time out. That is not in any of our books.
