The Singing Christmas Tree

We go from thing to thing here - one day its the dancing turtle and the next its the singing Christmas Tree. Casey likes to have the tree near him all the time these days - we even had a little fit when I decided the tree was not going to day care with him (we would be kicked out for sure). This tree was in the basement and we got it as a gift from a roommate in our community living days way back when. It has an on/off switch, but then has a sort of motion or sound sensor. So you can forget that it is on and then the dog will walk by it and away it goes. Casey learned from watching me that knocking on the surface it sits on will make it go again - so smart! Could you ask for a better dinner companion?

I have one concern watching this - notice the fork sitting oh so unused on the table. Even like last week, Casey preferred to eat with his fork. He would even wait for it! Now there seems to be a trend back to eating with the fingers. Let's hope our son's table etiquette did not peak at 18 months.
