Once again we are a little behind the times, but the Cider Mill is not as crowded if you wait until after Halloween to go. We went this weekend and really enjoyed it. We ate yummy donuts and drank warm cider and fed the ducks a bit of stale bread. Casey seemed both fascinated and slightly terrified of the ducks - wanting to get closer until one of them noticed him and then he would scurry back. Oh, and why is every duck in every book yellow? Ducks aren't yellow. Sure ducklings are, but I don't know of a place to go feed the ducklings. This is confusing for kids, we should start a campaign for honest portrayal of ducks in kids books. Another thing for my "maybe someday" to-do list.

And here is another atttempt to catch Casey's dance moves.
His latest favorite song is Sweet Caroline and its song 1 on disc 4 in the stereo. Numerous times a day he will take my hand and lead me over to the stereo and wait for me to start it up for him. He then stands right in front of the stereo and bounces up and down until Neil Diamond fades out. It's delightful, although I am about done with Sweet Caroline.
