Times Have Changed

Not that long ago, we would meet up with friends at the Old Shillelagh, singing sing alongs until the wee hours of the morn. Now we meet at 5:30 for pizza and watch our kids play. It's not a bad thing, it's just different. And its wonderful! We still talk politics and there was beer there, but we are all on our way home by 8:30. We feel quite fortunate to have good friends to share parenthood with, we wish we saw them more often. And let's face it, we would fall asleep in the middle of the sing-along anyway :)

Here are the 3 boys - Peter (just turned 2!), Casey, and Kieran (7 months). Eleanor (17 months) had already gone home and Elena, the matriarch of the group at 4 years old is visiting cousins in Iowa

There is an 18 month age range here, so at this point they are into different things. Peter has a lot of words and Casey has a few. Peter runs, Casey walks, and Kieran just learned to sit up. I would guess in about a year, once everyone can walk and talk a bit, these gatherings will start to involve a lot more running, hollering and perhaps even some property damage. I cannot wait!
