Well I spoke to soon as today we found ourselves relegated to the "Sick Child Waiting Room" at the doctor's office. Casey has a cough that had worsened enough and made him generally miserable enough in the middle of the night that we thought we should get it checked out. I felt sort of bad being stuck over in the "Sick Child" area - the kids on the other side were having fun and laughing. Our side was just 2 babies coughing like they'd been smoking for 40 years. Our doctor's office is nice about these first-time-parents-who-come-in-for-every-little-thing visits and I appreciate that. Nothing they can do of course, but they ruled out some things and now we just keep a close eye on his breathing. It could all be related to teething too, which we will not really know until these two #&*@%! teeth finally cut through. It seems we have been talking about these two teeth for over a month now but they have not yet made any progress even though we can see them in there! Once they come this could all go away. Casey does continue to be his happy little self most of the time, so we can be grateful for that. And grateful that he has been so healthy for almsot 9 months - we really are very lucky.
Today is also a big day, because by my very inexact calculations, Casey has now been alive on the outside as long as he was alive on the inside! I am not sure what to call this day but it seems like a fun milestone to me!

that is a huge milestone! inside as long as outside. i still can't believe i incubated such an amazing creature. didn't we just order her online?
