Well, It's Been Awhile...

... and I realize that my desire to catch up and fill in the last almost 4 years rather than just start posting again has kept me from posting at all. So, I am just going to start and pick up where we are.

The boys are between birthdays right now, Sam turned 12 last week and Casey will be 14 in a few days.  We are on day 81 of quarantine for the Corona virus. The boys last went to school on March 12. Jeff has been on a renewal leave from church since February 1 and him being at home has been such a gift in this strange time. I work at our church as well, but now from home.

Dog Update: Obie died in May of 2018. He had been declining since 2016 - he was deaf and blind and more and more confused. One night he got an acute case of stomach bloat and we had to make an immediate and heartbreaking decision. We were with him when he passed.

In December of 2018 we took a chance on a 5 month old pit mix, the last of a whole liter someone turned in to Detroit Dog Rescue. Avocado Jane has been with us ever since.

Bruce is now the elder statesman and tolerates his younger, crazier sister pretty well.
