Casey has started basketball! This is a picture from the "evaluations" Casey went to in order to be part of the minor boys draft. He was very excited about it, I was a tad nervous. Some of the other 7 year olds had clearly played before. Casey held his own though and played hard and was a good listener. A few days later we got the call that he would be playing on the Hawks.
His practice is not at an ideal time but another family on the team can bring him home. So here he is ready to go to his first practice - he was beside himself excited - packed his little bag and off he went.
When he got dropped off from practice, we got everyone ready for bed. Sam went right to sleep and Jeff went out to watch the Packer game with a friend. Casey wasn't too tired though and they didn't have school the next day. So he and I watched the game together snuggled in the recliner. We talked and cheered for the Packers. It was really nice!
