City Mouse, Country Mouse Part 1

I took the boys on an 8 day road trip to Wisconsin to visit all the family.  We had a great time!  We were sure happy to see Jeff and Obie when we got home.  In Rhinelander, with Jeff's family we got to go fishing and swimming in the lake and have smores at a campfire at the lake and geocache and catch frogs.  We went to a great story hour at their library as well.  These two city kids would not touch a worm or a fish but they were thrilled to learn to cast and reel in the blue gills.  Grandpa and Uncle Doug were great teachers and took them to a spot where you always catch something.  They play really well with their cousins, Carter and Abby which is so fun to watch.  They seem to really love the north woods - maybe mostly because Uncle Doug told them you can just pee on a tree whenever you need to.  Oh and Casey got to see Uncle Doug get bit by a huge garter snake - lifelong memories there for sure!
I told Jeff that I wondered what we would have to offer Carter and Abby when they visit the big city, in return for the great northwoods adventures our kids enjoy when visiting them.  "Tiger games, Lions games," he said "and underground raves."  So, we have that to look forward to.
