Sam Graduates!

 Sam is all done with 3 yr old preschool!  Just in time to turn 4 this week!  Incredible.  He has really loved being in school.  He has made some good friends - some he will get to see again next year in 4 yr old preschool at his new school, and some that are continuing at this school.  He has learned so much about numbers and colors and shapes.  He can count to 30!  I think he mostly had his shy side on display at school.  The only behavior problem we were ever aware of was when he licked his classmate, but that was a long time ago.  And still, most days when I drop him off he will say to me "Today, I am not going to lick any of my friends".  Good positive self talk :)
When I was the parent helper for his birthday day last week, the teachers told me that they (lovingly) refer to Sam as their Truancy Officer because he always knows exactly who is absent before anyone else has a chance to notice.  He does love learning names!
It was a nice celebration where each student got to come up and get their "yearbook" and a hug from their teacher.  Then we had punch and cookies which all the kids were quite happy about.

Another nice brotherly moment when, afterschool, Casey listened to Sam go through each page of his yearbook and tell him about his friends.  then we got out Casey's book from when he went there which both boys enjoyed looking through.
