20 months and 22 weeks

Yesterday we were back to the doctor to be sure the ears were better. Still a little fluid but hopefully that's the end of the previous ear infection and not the beginning of a new one. The tantrums have gotten better, or at least shorter. They seem to be tied directly to not wanting socks on or being hungry. Both of which we are able to handle. So, the new numbers for this 20 month old boy: 34 1/2 inches tall and 29.5 pounds both 75th percentile. His head circumference continues to make its own curve above the lines but no one seems worried about that anymore.
More words continue to surface, and Casey seems to grow in confidence every day too - being more independent, taking bigger bites of his food, staying more upright onthe stairs, and just going exploring. He doesn't sit still very often! Casey is having a little more trouble when we leave lately. When someone comes over, her gets very clingy assuming they are a babysitter. Sometimes he is right but even when he isn't it takes him awhile to relax and believe we are all staying home. When we are leaving, we just take it as a compliment, and then leave quickly so as not to prolong the screaming, which we hear lasts about 1 minute after we are out of sight.
Baby boy number 2 is also quite an active child. He moves around alot lately and at this point that is still enjoyable because he isn't stuck under a rib yet. We finally remembered to take a profile shot of me.

It's true what they say about the second child - he ALREADY has fewer pictures than Casey did at 22 weeks in utero. Poor thing. I feel big already and out of breath - yay. I am seeing a chiropractor for my hip pain at night and it is really helping! I am lucky to feel good and still be keeping up with Casey. I am reading a number of books about second children, preparing your first, etc and have found them to be quite interesting. So thats the news from our front - hope you are all well!
